Free Kitchen Makeover
Eligibility
We welcome homes of all styles and sizes. In the online application, we require that you submit five photos from different angles that showcase your current kitchen that needs transformation. The worse the picture looks, the better! Application cards with a QR Code will be handed out during the Home & Garden Show on February 18th – 20th to apply. Please include a descriptive statement for why YOU believe your kitchen needs this transformation. To be entered into the top three and move forward with the makeover, the homeowner must agree to all the stipulations of the contest rules. Contestants must be at least 18 years old to register themselves along with anyone else they refer. We welcome submissions within a 50-mile radius of Upstate Granite Solutions. Employees of Upstate Granite Solutions and sponsors along with their families will not be eligible to enter. All Applications for this transformation between Feb 18th to 28th will be considered for the Free Kitchen Makeover.
How it Works
Three finalists will be selected based on their descriptive statements and submitted photos by a panel from Upstate Granite Solutions and sponsoring companies. The finalists will be notified by Upstate Granite Solutions via phone or email on Tuesday, March 1st. By applying for this Free Kitchen Makeover, you agree to give Upstate Granite Solutions and sponsors reasonable access to evaluate your kitchen space. By submitting the online application, the finalists agree to be in an Upstate Granite Solutions short testimonial video sharing why this transformation is so important to you. This video will be released on March 7th. Once the finalists are interviewed and the video is released, voting on social media will open on March 8th. The profile of each finalist will be posted, and it will come down to the number of likes per post of that specified finalist. The winner will be announced on March 11th, 2022, at 12 p.m., through Upstate Granite Solutions Instagram!
Local Sponsors
The Upstate Granite Solutions Free Kitchen Makeover is sponsored by these local companies: Upstate Granite Solutions, CDI Cabinetry, Hughes Supply, At Home SC RRR, and Tile and Marble Gallery. Basic demolition, design, measuring, and installation for your new kitchen will be provided by each sponsoring company based on the service provided.
Privacy
All entries are property of Upstate Granite Solutions, and you agree that any photos submitted for this contest may or may not be used in subsequent advertising campaigns. Upstate Granite Solutions, CDI Cabinetry, Hughes Supply, At Home SC RRR, and Tile and Marble Gallery will not be responsible for lost, late, misdirected, illegible, or damaged entries. Both rental and investment properties are excluded from this makeover. There must be a primary homeowner of the residence.
Media Expectations
By applying for this Free Kitchen Makeover, you agree that Upstate Granite Solutions and its sponsors have the right to include on-air camera appearances and reasonable on-location, or studio-based footage created when the potential Grand Prize Winner is contacted. You agree to any photographs, videos, or other materials requested by Upstate Granite Solutions and other sponsors. In addition, entrants featured in this Kitchen Makeover will sign off on all services provided by the sponsoring companies for the makeover.
Scope of Work
Upstate Granite Solutions, CDI Cabinetry, Hughes Supply, At Home SC RRR, and Tile and Marble Gallery will not perform any additional construction outside of the scope of work for the initial kitchen makeover. Upstate Granite Solutions can provide a contractor referral if needed for work outside of just materials or services provided. The winner will not be held liable for any taxes of these materials/gifts unless upgrades, demolition, or any work outside the scope of terms agreed upon by Upstate Granite Solutions, CDI Cabinetry, Hughes Supply, At Home SC RRR, and Tile and Marble Gallery are requested. Any requests to upgrade material outside of the company’s selected materials will be covered by the winner. There will be a separate contract for the selected winner to confirm selections and the scope of work that will be required to complete the job. The kitchen design must be finalized and ordered by March 28th. The video reveal of the brand-new kitchen will be determined based on the kitchen that wins!
Severability
Upstate Granite Solutions, CDI Cabinetry, Hughes Supply, At Home SC RRR, and Tile and Marble Gallery reserves the right to unilaterally change any or all the terms of this contest and remains the sole and exclusive arbiter of any dispute arising. By entering this contest all contestants agree to the terms herein set out. This Kitchen Makeover once installed and completed becomes the winners’ property with no strings attached to any company. This is a gift and Upstate Granite Solutions along with all sponsors are thrilled to have the opportunity and the resources to bring this dream to life.
